For It's Root, Root, Root for the Cubbies ...

If you are a Chicagoan [or Bostonian, I suppose] you know that this story is bigger than sports - it's about civic pride.  The Chicago Cubs clinched the NL Central last night.

I'll be watching their second home playoff game from section 530.  It's the the uppermost section at Wrigley, yet I am still as excited as a schoolboy.

The last time I was at a Cubs playoff game was October 2, 1984 - when Rick Sutcliffe dominated the San Diego Padres in game 1 of the National League Championship Series.  The Cubs won, 13-0, and Sutcliffe hit a home run.
