Blogger Relations Done Right

A few days ago I posted about a company called Jack Cards.  I was delighted to find the following email in my inbox yesterday from Katherine & Kim - two of Jack Cards' founders.  I asked Katherine if I could post their email as a great example of how marketers should relate to bloggers.  Pay attention all you PR folks who are pitching bloggers and 'traditional' media alike ... in my opinion, this is how it should be done.

Dear Ian,

Thank you for mentioning Jack Cards on your blog, we noticed on Google Analytics that we had a number of referrals from your site - thank you so much!  We're also happy that we've now discovered your blog, you have some really great articles - Kim and I want to shop at Edit as soon as possible.

We've had a fantastic response over the past few weeks from a feature in Daily Candy, and then from Springwise yesterday.  After the big surge in new customers, we now have a bit of breathing time to focus on expanding our exposure to more mainstream media and to plan for growth (if you have any tips or suggestions for us please let us know!).

And if you need any help with your greeting card organizing, please let us know!  We're here to help!
