Is anyone else totally fascinated with the bizarre and ubiquitous rich media ad from Lowermybills.com? So insidious in its cleverness. Or so clever in its insidiousness. Not sure which one.

They must clearly work. They grab the eyeballs but they do it in a very cheap way IMHO.
I think they are ugly, ugly ads.

Funny you should mention it. I was thinking about this last night. I am strangely fascinated by them-- and repulsed at the same time. No clue what that means. Are they aimed at men or women?

In a web advertising world with so many static (non-animated) ads, these get significantly higher click-through rates. Typically ads like that get about 1 click for every 1,000 impressions on a site. It's quite possible that an ad like that could get 3-6 clicks for every 1,000 impressions.

What I meant to say was, "Typically non-animated ads in that format get about 1 click for every 1,000 impressions on a site. It's quite possible that an animated ad like that could get 3-6 clicks for every 1,000 impressions."

I am interested in finding out more about the history and origins of
belly dancing, the different styles that exist within belly dancing,
what the differences are and whether there are set, named moves.

i enjoyed your opinions, but perhaps more than that i enjoyed the comments. from the glowing to the flamey, from the humourous to the unaware of blog etiquette. and don't forget the obligatory spammer.
